Courtney Love appeared on ‘The View’ Wednesday morning for an interview and also to sing with her band, Hole. Love revealed that she has her favorites to play her late husband Kurt Cobain in a new biopic movie which is currently in the works.
Courtney Love told the ladies of ‘The View’ that Ryan Gosling and James McAvoy are her favorites to play the Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain. While Ryan Gosling has the reputation to throw himself into a role with much dedication and passion, he can also sing. ‘The Notebook’ star heads a band named ‘Dead Mans Bones’ and has a long body of film work behind him. “I think Ryan Gosling would be great in that part,” said Cleveland resident Mandy T.
James McAvoy, Courtney said “looks like Edward Norton and Kurt had a baby.” McAvoy has starred in such movies as ‘Wanted’ with Angelina Jolie, ‘Becoming Jane’ with Anne Hathaway, and ‘Penelope’ with Christina Ricci. He’s also been featured in roles on various television shows.
Other rumored leading men to be in the running to play Kurt Cobain were Jared Leto and hunky ‘Twilight’ star Robert Pattinson, both of whom have pursued singing. Courtney Love told the ladies of ‘The View’ that she had been watching tapes of both Ryan Gosling and James McAvoy giving interviews to see their mannerisms and how they behave when they are just being themselves.

More Wanted 2 rumors.
Keira Knightly and Kristen Stewart are said to be fighting it out for the lead role in the Wanted sequel, the creatively named Wanted 2.
Keira is said to be the first choice for the action role opposite James McAvoy, who she starred with in Atonement.
A movie insider said, “As soon as Angelina declared herself out of Wanted 2, Keira was in the running.”
“The producers feel she and James McAvoy can bring the same kind of chemistry to the project as they had on Atonement. Kristen is the other choice but it would be very much a different dynamic.”
The insider added, “One of them look certain to get the role.”

Some Wanted 2 rumors. Better than no news.
Kristen Stewart is a Wanted woman!
Sources tell E! News that the studio and director behind the sequel to Wanted have expressed interest in snagging K.Stew to follow in Angelina Jolie’s footsteps as the female lead, starring alongside James McAvoy.
While details are still pretty scarce, Stewart’s character would be a young, ass-kicking assassin in the Fraternity.
So is Stewart in, and Angie out?
It’s too early to tell if the film is even gonna happen, but it’s not looking good for A.
Our insider says Kristen was approached to fill Jolie’s hot-woman void in the franchise and met at least once with Timur Bekmambetov, the director of the series.
However, Angelina’s participation in the project is still up in the air.
While her character died in the first installment of the film, Bekmambetov told MTV that he would bring her back in some capacity, in the sequel.
Only problem is A.J. reportedly backed out of the film. We hear details (aka money and exactly how much time she’d need to give to the flick) were never worked out, which is why Angelina is out, for now—but she could possibly make a cameo if the film actually happens.
So can Kristen save the franchise?
Our dishy source says the Stewart-McAvoy version of the project might not come to fruition, but it remains a slim possibility—and wouldn’t it be damn hot! (Sure would be a lot happier news than that horrible fake car accident stuff which had K.Stew fans in a tizzy yesterday.)
Kristen is set to start filming Breaking Dawn possibly as early as October, while the Wanted follow-up was originally slated to start shooting around the end of August.
No production date has been set in stone for the final Twilight flick(s), which is making it difficult, we’re told, for many of the actors involved in the vampire franchise to figure out their schedule allowed for outside projects. Anyone remember Rachelle Lefevre?
Be careful before you sign up for other projects, dearies!
Neither Bekmambetov nor a rep for Stewart responded to E!’s request for comment. While no offer was officially given to Kristen, word is that Bekmambetov is—for now—looking at other projects for the fall, given the scheduling conflicts.
Bummer! Nobody kicks ass like K.Stew.

Courtney Love has quashed rumours that Twilight star Robert Pattinson is to play her late husband, singer Kurt Cobain, in an upcoming biopic.
Love, a singer and actor, has asked to approve casting on the film, to be based on Charles R. Cross’s biography of the Nirvana frontman.
Love said a U.K. press report that Pattinson had been handpicked for the role was “silly.”
“Isn’t that so stupid. Who would cast him? That’s just wrong, no offence [to Pattinson],” Love said.
Instead, she suggested her late husband might be played by either Ryan Gosling or James McAvoy.
Canadian-born Gosling won acclaim for his roles in Half Nelson and Lars and the Real Girl, and Scottish-born McAvoy starred in The Last King of Scotland.
Love said she thought she may never see the film, because it would be too painful to recreate the life of Cobain, who died in 1994.
She said she hopes a friend, film producer Trudie Styler, will act as her “proxy” to guide the movie, still in the early production stages.

Hollywood actor James Mcavoy is taking a break from movies to focus on forging a stage career in his native Britain.
The ‘Atonement’ actor pulled out of a starring role in upcoming comedy-drama ‘I’m With Cancer’ despite being offered $1.5 million for the role because he doesn’t want to spend all his time in Hollywood, reports imdb.com.
‘I don’t like planning too far ahead. My life was getting planned for me, so I said, ‘Stop.’ I’m going to do a play, no films for a while,’ he said.
‘I don’t want to be in America all the time. If you go down that blockbuster, starry route too much, there’s no way back to being a normal actor,’ he added.

HARD-WORKING actor James McAvoy wants to keep grafting until he’s 80.
The 30-year-old Last King Of Scotland star, whose wife Anne-Marie Duff, 39, is pregnant, said: “I might not be in movies in 10 years’ time and I might not be playing nice, big lead roles.
“But I’ve still got to be an actor, I’ve still got to have a career and I’ve still got to be allowed to work. If you go down that blockbuster, starry route too much, there’s no way back to being a normal actor.
“Not that I’m not a ‘normal’ actor now, but it’s like some people can’t actually make the step back to character parts.”
McAvoy, who appeared in TV’s Shameless and blockbuster Atonement, added: “I don’t care what I’m doing, I just want to be working when I’m 80.”

JAMES McAVOY has starred alongside Angelina Jolie and Keira Knightley – but says it was a Scots schoolgirl who made his favourite leading lady.
As a schoolboy he had a crush on Alana Brady when he made his acting debut alongside her in low-budget Scots film The Near Room.
James, then 15 – who landed the part after convincing director David Hayman that he could cry on demand – was smitten and followed Alana into acting lessons after filming ended. And after joining the local youth theatre in Paisley, he quickly landed hisfirst starring role.
But he still credits Alana with sparking his passion for acting. He said: “I liked a girl on the set – Alana Brady – and I followed her to a drama g roup.
“There was an amazing woman at Paisely, who brought me on. From that I got a tiny bit more work and realised I could make a career out of drama.”
Alana, now working for the National Theatre of Scotland, said: “It’s nice that he remembered. We did both like each other but we were just teenagers, it was a long time ago.”
Alana played Michelle in The Near Room, shot on location in Glasgow, while James played Kevin.
The gritty drama, about prostitution and drugs in the inner city, was not a box office success.
